Sunday starts with second game in nine days against Tritons
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - After building their winning streak with a third consecutive unbeaten weekend, the Hoosiers (11-2) are on the brink of history in coach Ryan Castle's first season. Another weekend without a loss would mark Indiana's longest winning streak in program history, but that's easier said than done against this year's Aztec Invitational field.
The weekend begins with a long-awaited game with #12 San Jose State, before ending with on Sunday against #16 UC San Diego and #17 San Diego State. All game will include live stats from The FOSH.

Hoosier Notes:
Last Time: Streak Rolls Through Harvard
The Hoosiers battled for another perfect invitational weekend at the Harvard Invite, Indiana's third unbeaten weekend of the season and their ninth perfect invite in the last four years. Top-25 foes UC San Diego and Wagner tested the streak in the first and last games of the weekend, respectively, but the Hoosiers emerged with one-goal wins.
Freshman Megan Abarta scored twice to split the difference against the Tritons. In the final game with Wagner, junior Jennifer Beadle created the decisive double from the center.
Matthews Delivers All-Time Output
In a career laden with highlight goals and high-scoring efforts, junior Kelly Matthews delivered her best performance yet in the Hoosiers' win over Iona. Matthews scored seven goals, tying IU's single-game record set by Candyce Schroeder (4/17/16 vs. Bucknell).
Matthews' weekend increases her season total to 25 goals (1st - Team). She has scored 171 goals in her career, currently one score shy of tying Schroeder for 7th in IU's all-time leaderboard.
Back in Her Element
Jessica Gaudreault continues a solid start in the cage in her junior season. The Canadian National Team keeper averages 10.5 saves per game along with 9 steals and 8 assists this year.
Gaudreault, a two time All-CWPA first teamer, has the Hoosiers at 8-1 when she makes more than 10 saves. Her best quarter is the first, where she allows just 1 goal on average.
Clash of the Tritons: Vol. XVIII
Fans only had to wait nine days for the next contest between Indiana and UC San Diego. The Hoosiers pulled the all-time series closer to level with a 7-6 win at the Harvard Invite. This weekend, they'll flip coasts and meet again at the Aztec Invitational.
While in San Diego, the Hoosiers will have another crack at pulling their series with the Aztecs Closer to even. San Diego State has won 10 of the 17 all-time encounters, but the Hoosiers have won the last four games.
Hot Streak
At 9 wins and counting, Indiana's current winning streak is among the fourth-longest in program history. It passes last season's 8-game win streak; another victory would match the 10-game run at the end of the 2015 season.
Of Note...
• Six players have expanded their play to the international level. Jessica Gaudreault is a member of Canada's Senior National Team; Sarah Myers, Kelly Matthews, and Joelle Nacouzi have all played for Canada at the junior level; Mollie Williams and Emily Powell have played in Australia's youth system.
