IU Women’s Golf Improves on Day Two of Clover Cup

Day Two Results Round Three Tee Times

MESA, Ariz. – Indiana Women's Golf took 11 strokes off its day one score to shoot a 299 on the second day of the Clover Cup at the Longbow Golf Course on Saturday.

Redshirt Carolina Garrett led the IU field with an even par performance for the day, besting her season-low by three strokes as she posted a team-high five birdies on the day. After posting a 3-over performance in the opening nine holes, she closed out the day with three of her five birdies and a 3-under performance to now sit in a tie for 57^th.

Senior Ana Sanjuan sit at the top of the IU lineup in a tie for 48^th place (152) as she shot another 76 as she went even on the final nine of the day. As a team, the Hoosiers saw much of their success on the turn, shooting 5-under to wrap up action on the day. They also moved up in the standings, taking over 13^th place and a two-day score of 609.

Senior Theresa-Ann Jedra sits in a tie for 60^th after carding a 77 while sophomore Erin Harper also showed improvement from round one, posting a 2-over par 74. Freshman Elisa Pierre rounded out the IU field competing towards the team score in 74^th place (84).

Playing as individuals, junior Alix Kong and redshirt freshman Emma Fisher both made drastic improvements in day two. Kong improved to 31^st place overall (148), tying a team low round of the season with a 3-under (69) for the day, matching Garrett's five birdies in the round. Fisher shot 1-over and is in 47^th place overall with a combined two-day total of 151.

Junior Pear Siriko (77^th) and senior Paige Crafton (81^st) rounded out Indiana's competitors. Arizona State took over the top spot the tournament field with a 556. Houston, Florida State, Oklahoma and TCU round out the top five heading into day three.

The final 18 holes of the Clover Cup will kick off with a 10 a.m. ET start tomorrow morning.
