Uden Named Big Ten Co-Player of the Week

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana Softball junior Taylor Uden has been named the Big Ten Co-Player of the Week, the conference announced today.
Uden hit an impressive .727 during the Hoosier Classic, which saw the first baseman knock two homers and four doubles with a 1.636 slugging percentage and .813 on-base percentage. In addition, Uden scored five runs, picked up five RBI and earned four walks while tallying 18 total bases.
Against Bowling Green on Saturday, Uden went 2-for-3 with a homer, a double and three runs scored in Indiana's 11-3 run-rule victory. In the second game of the day, she was a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, a double and another home run.
On Sunday, she collected two more doubles, three walks and a run as the Hoosiers finished the weekend with a 3-1 mark.
This is the third weekly conference award for Indiana this season, with Emily Goodin winning a pair of Big Ten Freshman of the Week accolades, including one last week. The last Big Ten Player of the Week recognition for the Hoosiers was May 9, 2016 and awarded to Michelle Huber.
In addition to the conference award, Uden was named a Fastpitch News Player of the Week, as well as a NFCA Selected Top Performance.
