• Indiana opens up Big Ten play on Friday with a 1 p.m. ET doubleheader against the Northwestern Wildcats. The series will conclude on Saturday with a 3 p.m. ET first pitch.
• Senior outfielder Alex Krupa was named Big Ten Player of the Week on Monday. Krupa started all four games in the leadoff spot for Indiana, as the Hoosiers won the series at Hawaii, three games to one. The Greenwood, Ind., native hit .533 (8-for-15) on the week with two doubles, a triple, three RBI, five runs scored and a stolen base. The senior tallied at least one hit in all four games, with three of those games being multi-hit contests.
• Over his last seven games in which he has started, Krupa is hitting .423 (11-for-26) with two home runs, two doubles, a triple, five RBI and seven runs scored. He has posted an OPS of 1.292.
• Indiana entered the week second in the Big Ten in triples (7), third in slugging percentage (.418) and total bases (264), tied for third in home runs (18), tied for fourth in hits (170), fifth in batting average (.269), and tied for sixth in runs (103) and RBI (95).
• IU's pitching staff entered the week fourth in the conference in ERA (3.88), runs allowed (78) and earned runs allowed (69).
• Senior outfielder Craig Dedelow came into the week tied for second in the Big Ten in home runs (5), is third in total bases (42) and tied for fifth in slugging percentage (.560).
• Over Indiana's last seven games (6-1), the Hoosiers are hitting .325 as a team with 50 runs (7.1), 81 hits (11.6), 13 doubles, two triples, six home runs and 43 RBI. IU has also posted a slugging percentage of .466 as a team and a .399 on base percentage.
• Also during that five-game stretch, a total of six Hoosiers have posted a batting average of .320 or higher (Krupa - .423, Matt Gorski - .367, Luke Miller - .357, Craig Dedelow - .333, Ryan Fineman - .333 and Austin Cangelosi - .313).
• Junior right handed pitcher Brian Hobbie came into the week tied for ninth in the Big Ten in innings pitched. Hobbie has picked up two consecutive victories (Hawaii and Middle Tennessee.)
• Since the start of the 2008 season, Indiana leads the Big Ten in wins (320) and conference wins (135). The Hoosiers have made four NCAA Regionals over that span, the most out of any current Big Ten team.
