SCOTTSDALE, Arizona – In the team's first stroke play event of the spring season, the Indiana men's golf team posted team scores of 292 and 308 for a total score of 600 to sit in 10th place at the Desert Mountain Intercollegiate.

The top individual performers for IU were senior Andrew Havill and redshirt sophomore Jake Brown, who are both tied for 42nd at 5-over par through 36 holes.

Sunday's final round will get underway at 10:30 a.m. ET, with the Hoosiers starting on No. 11. Live scoring is available at GolfStat.com.

Havill began his day by posting an opening round score of 2-under par 70 thanks to four birdies and two bogeys, but he birdied three of his final four holes. Then in round two, he was not able to find the same run of birdies on his way to a 7-over par 79.

Jake Brown, who is tied for 42nd with Havill on the overall leaderboard, also carded four birdies but four bogeys and a double bogey left him at 2-over par 74 in round one. Round two was an adventure for Brown, as he opened with a bogey on his first hole but then logged an eagle on his third hole to get under par on his round. After taking an 11 on his fourth hole, he was suddenly six over par on his round. But he turned it around and birdied six of his final 14 holes to play them 3-under and post a 75 in round two.

Christian Fairbanks, playing just his second stroke-play event of the year is in 45th place overall after his rounds of 74 and 76 have him at 6-over par through 36 holes. He had three birdies and three bogeys to offset each other and the difference was a double bogey on the par 5 second hole in round one. The afternoon scorecard saw three bogeys and one double bogey and just one birdie as he posted a score of 76.

Brock Ochsenreiter started his day with a 2-over par 74 in round one, which included three birdies that actually got him to 1-under par on the round through 12 holes. Then in round two, he found three more birdies but registered a 78 on the round and is tied for 49th at 8-over par after two rounds.

Brendon Doyle is tied for 59th after rounds of 77 and 79 have him at 12-over par.
