• Indiana concludes a 12-game road trip to open the 2017 season with a midweek contest at Evansville on Tuesday at Braun Stadium.
• The Hoosiers are second in the Big Ten in triples (4), tied for second in home runs (12) and fifth in hits (89) and total bases (147).
• IU's pitching staff is second in the Big Ten in runs allowed (47), third ERA (3.78), fourth in earned runs allowed (40) and tied for fourth in fewest walks (35),
• Senior outfielder Craig Dedelow is tied for the Big Ten lead with four home runs and is tied for ninth in total bases (26), and 15th in fielding percentage.
• Dedelow hit .455 last weekend at Samford (5-for-11) with a double, triple and home run. He scored three times while posting a 1.700 OPS. The senior has reached base in 10-straight games and has a three-game hit streak.
• The Hoosiers hit six home runs at Florida Atlantic Feb. 24-26, including two from Dedelow and sophomore Luke Miller. The last time IU had six home runs in a three game series was April 15-17, 2016 against Iowa.
• Indiana has hit 12 home runs through its first 11 games, good for second in the Big Ten. The last time the Hoosiers hit at least 12 through the first 11 contests was the 2009 season, when IU hit 14 through its first 11.
• Sophomore catcher Ryan Fineman is tied with Craig Dedelow for the team lead with 11 hits. He is tied for second on the team in multi-hit games with three.
• This past weekend at Samford, junior Matt Lloyd collected three hits while hitting his first career home run on Saturday. His five RBI on the weekend were a team-best.
• Also hitting his first home run of the season last weekend against Samford was junior Logan Sowers. The Lafayette, Ind. native hit .333 on the weekend and added a double.
• Junior Laren Eustace has posted a .412 on base percentage through the first three weekends, good for first on the team, while stealing four bases, which ranks tied for ninth in the Big Ten. He tied his career-high with two stolen bases in IU's season opener against No. 7 Oregon State. The Illinois-native has reached base in eight-straight games.
• Freshman catcher and designated hitter Jake Matheny was named the Big Ten Baseball Freshman of the Week on opening weekend. Matheny, who hit two home runs, doubled, and drove in five runs, was the first Freshman of the Week for Indiana since Logan Sowers on May 18, 2015.
• Also joining Matheny on the list of impact freshmen is shortstop Jeremy Houston, who is tied for the team lead in batting average. Houston has four extra-base hits (2 triples, 2 doubles) and is tied for the team lead with seven RBI. His two triples are tied for the Big Ten lead.
• Sophomore starting pitcher Jonathan Stiever is seventh in the Big Ten in ERA (2.31) and is tied for ninth in opposing batting average (.217).
• Since the start of the 2008 season, Indiana leads the Big Ten in wins (314) and conference wins (135). The Hoosiers have made four NCAA Regionals over that span, the most out of any current Big Ten team.
