
Hoosiers Join Top Crews at Clemson Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Indiana – The 20th ranked Indiana Rowing team hits the road this weekend, traveling to the Clemson Invitational to join eight other crews ranked in the Top 20 of this week's CRCA/USRowing Coaches Poll.
The regatta gets underway with two sessions on Saturday, one at 8:30 a.m. and another at 5:00 p.m. Then on Sunday, the final session begins at 8:30 a.m. All three sessions will feature live video streaming via the video links above.
The ranked teams at the regatta include No. 4 Ohio State, No. 5 Texas, No. 10 Virginia, No. 11 Wisconsin, No. 14 Washington State, No. 15 Syracuse, No. 18 Louisville, No. 19 Duke and No. 20 Indiana.

UNPRECEDENTED SUCCESS FOR THE HOOSIERS
The Indiana Rowing program is in the midst of unprecedented success for the program, as they have made three consecutive appearances in the NCAA Championship in 2014, 2015 and 2016. Those three appearances marked the first three appearances in the NCAA Championship in program history.
In 2014, the Hoosiers finished 11th as a team and were led by the ninth-place finish of the 1V4 while the 1V8 finished 10th and the 2V8 came in 14th.
In 2015, Indiana once against finished 11th as a team with the 1V8 leading the way with another 10th place finish while the 2V8 checked in with a 11th place finish and the 1V4 registered a 13th place finish.
Last year, Indiana finished 15th as a team with the 1V4 crew leading the way with a 12th place finish. The 2V8 crew finished fourth in the C final to take 14th place overall and the 1V8 earned a 16th place finish at the NCAA Championships.
