COLUMBUS, Ohio – With conditions cool and breezy at times, scoring was at a premium for all 15 teams at the Kepler Intercollegiate, hosted by Ohio State at the Scarlet Course. Indiana started the day with a team score of 316 in round one and followed with a score of 308 in round two.
The Hoosiers' 36-hole score of 624 puts them in 15th place but they are just eight shots out of ninth place.
Senior Andrew Havill and freshman Brock Ochsenreiter paced Indiana on day one, both finishing with a 36-hole score of 155 to tie for 42nd. Havill opened with a 76 in round one before logging a 79 in round two. Ochsenreiter began the tournament with an 80 but rallied to card the top score of the day by an IU golfer with a 75 in round two.
Jake Brown is one shot behind Havill and Ochsenreiter after his scores of 79 and 77 put him at 156.
Jack Sparrow is tied for 63rd with a 36-hole total of 160 and Brendon Doyle is tied for 68th with his score of 161.
The Hoosiers will tee off of No. 10 on Sunday starting at 9:03 a.m. with live scoring available at Golfstat.com.
