Game 1
Game one resumed in the bottom of third after yesterday's rain delay and the Hoosiers instantly made an impact with three runs. With two outs and the bases loaded, senior Craig Dedelow was hit by a pitch, while junior Logan Sowers and freshman Matt Gorski walked, giving Indiana a 3-0 lead.
Sophomore Jonathan Stiever started on Friday night, throwing three scoreless innings before the game was delayed. Freshman Cal Krueger picked up from there today and threw six innings, giving up two runs on five hits, and striking out five.
IU was back in the fourth with three more runs. Senior Alex Krupa knocked a double to right on the first pitch of his at-bat. Two pitches later, Butler hammered his third home run of the season to left field to put the Hoosiers up 5-0. A double by Luke Miller and a double by Dedelow extended that lead to 6-0.
In the top of the fifth, the Terrapins responded with two runs off two singles and a triple.
The Hoosiers wouldn't let a 6-2 lead get any closer as they plated three runs in the sixth inning. Two walks set up Miller at the plate and he sent a tape measure shot to left field, putting the Hoosiers up 9-2 for good.
Butler went 3-for 4 with two RBI and scored three runs. Krupa scored two runs while going 1-for-3. Miller tallied three hits and also three RBI in the win.
Game 2
In game two, junior Brian Hobbie got the start and pitched four innings. Freshman Matt Gorski went 2-for-3 and homered.
