BLOOMINGTON, Indiana - A pair of former IU men's golfers, Michael Chambers and Jody Roudebush, will tee it up at 8:12 a.m. on Pinehurst No. 2 tomorrow in the U.S. Amateur 4-Ball Championship.
Chambers, of Roswell, Georgia, and Roudebush, of Noblesville, Indiana, were teammates at Indiana University in the early 1990s. The two have gone on a golf trip dubbed, "Sleep When You're Dead," with a few of their teammates nearly every year for the past 20 years. Chambers, an executive director at Morgan Stanley, is playing in his first USGA championship. Roudebush, who was a quarterfinalist in the 1993 and 1994 U.S. Amateur Public Links Championships, is playing in his sixth USGA championship.
