
Williams Paces IU Contingent Through First Three Days of NBA Summer League in Las Vegas

Williams is coming off his rookie year in the NBA in 2016-17, where he played a total of 30 games with the Memphis Grizzlies and the Houston Rockets and averaged 6.2 points, 2.3 rebounds in 18.6 minutes per game. In the two games with the Rockets in Las Vegas, Williams is averaging 25.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and shooting 53.3 percent from the floor.

Kevin Yogi Ferrell is playing with the Dallas Mavericks in the Summer League after playing the final 36 games with them during the regular season. In 46 total games played last year between Brooklyn and Dallas, Ferrell averaged 10.0 points, 3.8 assists and nearly two rebounds while shooting 38.4 percent from behind the 3-point line. In the first two Summer League games, Ferrell has averaged 11.0 points, 3.5 assists and 4.0 steals.

Will Sheehey is playing in the Summer League with the Toronto Raptors and is averaging 5.5 points, 2.0 assists and 1.0 block through the first two games. Last year, Sheehey played in the NBA D-League with the Toronto Raptors 905 and averaged 10.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.3 steals in 38 games before suffering an elbow injury.

Thomas Bryant, the 42nd overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, is playing with the Los Angeles Lakers Summer League team. In his first summer league game, he provided a spark off the bench and scored 13 points in 17 minutes while also grabbing five rebounds and shooting 4-of-5 from the field.

James Blackmon Jr. is playing in Las Vegas with the Philadelphia 76ers after also playing with the 76ers in the Utah Jazz Summer League earlier last week. In the three games he has played to this point, he is averaging 7.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals. In the one game in Las Vegas he has appeared in, he tallied seven points, three steals and two rebounds in 13 minutes.

OG Anunoby, who was drafted by the Toronto Raptors with the 23rd overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, is listed on the Raptors Summer League roster but will not play due to the injury he suffered last year with Indiana.
