
Scott, Brown and Jorden Named to B1G Preseason Honors List

ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference office unveiled its 2017 Women's Soccer Preseason Honors List on Monday, including Indiana redshirt junior Mykayla Brown and sophomores Allison Jorden and Meghan Scott.
Brown, a native of Indianapolis, led the Hoosiers in scoring last year with eight goals, including three game-winners. The forward netted four goals in the final three games of the season and earned Big Ten All-Tournament Team honors after scoring at top-seeded Minnesota in the Tournament Quarterfinals.
Jorden started all 20 games of the 2016 season for Indiana, primarily in the midfield. The Scottsdale, Ariz. native found the back of the net twice, with both coming in conference action against Wisconsin and Ohio State. Additionally, she was named to the Hoosier Challenge Cup All-Tournament team.
Scott, a defender from London, Ontario, also started every game of the 2016 campaign as a freshman. Scott tallied seven assists last season, tied for seventh-most in a single season in IU history. In addition, her four assists in Big Ten play is tied for second-most in a single year in the record books. Scott ended the season by picking up an assist in four of the last five games of the year.
Indiana officially kicks off the 2017 season this Friday as the Hoosiers host Cal Poly at 7:30 p.m. The game is part of the Hoosier Challenge Cup tournament with IU also squaring off against No. 13 Clemson on Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
