
Three Hoosiers Named to Big Ten Preseason Honors List

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana University's Grant Lillard, Andrew Gutman and Jeremiah Gutjahr were named to the Big Ten Preseason Honors List on Wednesday, the league office announced.
Along with the Preseason Honors List, the conference also announced the preseason coaches' poll, which saw the No. 7-ranked Hoosiers picked to finish second in the league behind No. 6-ranked Maryland.
The honor is the second this preseason for Lillard, who was named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List earlier this month. In 2016, Lillard earned Second-Team All-America honors from both College Soccer News and Top Drawer Soccer, as well as First-Team All-Big Ten and First-Team All-Region accolades. Lillard started all 18 matches in which he appeared for the Hoosiers, helping the IU defense record a goals-against average of 0.70 and post a Big Ten-best 11 shutouts on the year.
A two-time Second-Team All-Big Ten selection, Gutman played a huge part in the Hoosiers' stellar defense in 2016, starting all 21 matches. Gutman totaled one goal and three assists on the season, while also helping Indiana post 11 shutouts. The junior also earned his second All-Region accolade following his 2016 campaign.
The preseason honor is the first in the career for Gutjahr, who appeared in 20 matches last season for IU, earning 11 starts. The junior scored one goal and had one assist on the season coming in Indiana's 2-1 win at No. 2 Louisville. Along with his standout play for the Hoosiers, Gutjahr has to the USMNT U-20 squad for the CONCACAF Championship in February.
Season tickets for 2017 are now on sale at $30 for adults and $10 for ages 3-18. Children two and under are free. Each adult season ticket also comes with a $10 concession voucher. Indiana University faculty/staff and students receive free admission with school ID on game day.
Season tickets can be purchased at the IU Athletics Ticket office, by phone (1-866-IUSPORTS) or online at IUHoosiers.com.
Single game tickets are also on sale now at IUHoosiers.com. Prices are $5 for adults, $3 for youth (ages 3-18) and $2 for groups of 25 or more. Family Packages are $28 and fans will receive four tickets and food vouchers to be exchanged at the Armstrong Stadium concession stand. Family Packages must be purchased in advance of game day.
Flex Package tickets will also be available again this season. Each flex package will include eight vouchers to be exchanged on game day at any home IU men's soccer match. Adult flex packages will be $32 and youth (ages 3-18) flex packages will be $16.
