On the week of prep before the Ohio State game…
"You're getting now into the normal week mode. Obviously, you're off schedule a little bit because it's a Thursday night game. You go through and try to adjust that, which we have. We just finished up what is considered to be a normal Wednesday practice, even though it's just a Monday on the calendar. Our guys are really doing a great job, great focus, good energy today. We coach till kickoff so our kids are really embracing that concept of the preparation process never stops."
On looking for consistency against Ohio State…
"There's no question the thing that jumps out when you watch (Ohio State) on film is their speed. It shows up on special teams, it shows up obviously on offense and defense. Being able to be in a great positon is a big emphasis for us. You take a false step, wrong fit on special teams or on defense, it can be a big play for them. The same thing on offense, it's about the details and the little things. They're a great football team for sure and very, very well coached. We have a ton of respect for them and we know they're going to be a great challenge, a great opportunity."
On the opportunity and being under the lights with the home crowd…
"When you kind of step back and think about it, what an opportunity for our program. What a way to start the season. Obviously, being my first home game as the head coach, there's a lot of emotions with that. We just trying to embrace the opportunity, embrace the challenge, embrace the sense of urgency that this whole environment has created for our team this offseason. You just want to come out and play your best."
