BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – For the first time in the 25-year history of the show, ESPN's College GameDay Built by Home Depot will originate from inside Memorial Stadium on the Indiana University campus in Bloomington.
The show will begin at 6 p.m. with gates E8, W2 and W4 opening at 5:30 p.m. to allow those with a ticket to the game to enter and watch the show. The show is also expected to be shown live on the video board in the North End Zone.
Fans who enter the stadium at 5:30 p.m. will be able to sit in Sections 31 and 32 to be as close to the modified GameDay set that will be located on the field in the southeast corner. Field access will not be granted to fans for GameDay, as the teams will be warming up on the field while the show is aired. All stadium gates will open at 6 p.m.
Fans will be permitted to make their own signs and bring them into the stadium. Signs should contain no offensive or obscene language and those signs with graphic depictions must be in good taste and contain no depictions that would offend or embarrass other patrons. IU Event Management reserved the right to approve all signs prior to entry into the stadium.
Prior to the season debut of the premier college football pregame show, College Football Countdown (5 p.m.) and College Football Live (4 p.m.) will also air from Bloomington, Ind., on ESPN. All three shows are expected to originate from a set from inside Memorial Stadium.
Lee Corso highlights the cast of pregame commentators, as the former Indiana head coach (1973-82) makes his own return to Bloomington, Ind. Rece Davis will host College GameDay and be joined by all the regular analysts: Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, and David Pollack. Maria Taylor will make her College GameDay debut in Atlanta.
Adnan Virk will host both College Football Live and College Football Countdown, joined by Joey Galloway and Jesse Palmer. The trio will be ESPN's main studio team throughout the entire 2017 season.
