Forbes Wins Silver Medal at Canada Games

WINNIPEG – Indiana Women's Soccer freshman Melanie Forbes and Team Ontario were awarded the Silver Medal at the 2017 Canada Games.
Forbes netted a goal and added an assist against Price Edward Island on July 31. Forbes also recorded a pair of assists against Northwest Territories and on the game-winner against Alberta.
Ontario went 2-0 in group play, defeating Northwest Territories and Prince Edward Island to advance to the medal round.
A 2-0 victory against Saskatchewan and a 1-0 win versus Alberta secured a spot in the Gold Medal final for Forbes and Team Ontario. In the Final, Ontario and Quebec were scoreless until the 83rd minute, when Quebec scored the game-winner.
