Harper Sits 3-Under Par After Day Two of Ptarmigan Ram Classic

Day Two Results

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Junior Erin Harper shot even part and continues to sit near the top of the leaderboard after day two of the Ptarmigan Ram Classic on Monday.

Harper is now 3-under for the tournament, sitting in a tie for second place overall. She opened up the day with back-to-back birdies shooting 2-under on the front nine. She also ended the day with her third birdie on 18 and now in a two-way tie for 2^nd place overall. The field's leader Suthavee Chanachai is eight strokes ahead of Harper and San Jose State's Abegail Arevalo.

Sophomore Emma Fisher is tied for 23^rd (148, +4) while freshman Angela Aung sits tied for 34^th shooting a 75 at the Ptarmigan Country Club. Sophomore Elisa Pierre matched her day one score of 75 (150, +6) and freshman Mary Parsons rounded out the IU scoring with a 77 (152, +8).

As a team, Indiana is tied for sixth overall shooting 11-over for the day (299) and are tied for fifth with a 586, just three strokes out of third place (Colorado State, 583). San Jose State leads the field after two rounds (575) while New Mexico State is second overall (578).

The third and final day of the Ptarmigan Ram Classic begins with an 11 a.m. shotgun start as teams will play a round of 18 holes.

Individuals sophomore Carolina Garrett and senior Pear Siriko rounded out the 36-hole day at the Cardinal Classic on Monday afternoon. Garrett fired off a 76 and 75 to come in tied for 38^th after day one while Siriko added a tied for 44^th place performance in 36 holes with a 77 and 75, respectively.

They will finish up the tournament on Tuesday morning with a 10:30 a.m. ET shotgun start.
