HOOSIERS FINISH SIXTH AT PTARMIGAN
The opening tournament of the 2017-18 season is in the books for IU, who finished sixth overall (899) in a 15-team field at the Ptarmigan Ram Classic. Junior Erin Harper led the field tied for 11th overall while freshman Elisa Pierre tied her career low round in the final 18 holes to come in T17th.
IU WELCOMES NEWCOMERS
Indiana's lineup will get a dose of newcomers with a trio of newcomers playing in this weekend's event in the 2-4 spots. Freshmen Mary Parsons and Angela Aung are coming off performances in the opening weekend at the Ptarmigan Ram Classic. Parsons came in T39th including a final round of 72 as she tallied a 224. Aung finished closely behind in T41st, one stroke behind Parsons with a 225 and included a low score in the first round of 74. Freshman Priscilla Schmid will get her first college experience playing in the third spot this weekend.

The Hoosiers return to the Midwest when they co-host the Bettie Lou Invitational with Kentucky Oct. 6-8 in Lexington, Ky.
