IU Women’s Cross Country Ranked Program-High In Latest USTFCCCA Poll

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana Women's Cross Country has achieved its highest ranking in program history, coming in at No. 14 in this week's U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) poll.
The women's team rose four spots in the rankings from last week, moving up four spots from its No. 18 ranking after a second-place finish at the Battle for Beantown. They are ranked third amongst the Big Ten following Michigan (fourth), and Penn State (ninth). Other conference schools in the ranks include Wisconsin (18th), Minnesota (20th) and Ohio State (26th).
The Indiana men came in at No. 27 in this week's poll, as they recently finished third at the Battle for Beantown last Friday. IU ranks behind Wisconsin (seventh), Illinois (19th) and Michigan State (21st) in the Big Ten conference. Other Big Ten schools in the rankings include Michigan (receiving votes) and Minnesota (receiving votes).
The Hoosiers will be back in action this weekend at home hosting the Sam Bell Invitational on Saturday. The race begins at 10 a.m. ET with the women's 6K with the men's 8K following at 11 a.m. Admission is free.
