On extra practice days leading up to Virginia…

"It'll be big. We feel like we've tried to maximize those and have taken advantage of it and having time to get our guys ready. It's early in the season, so you're always trying to prepare for things that they may do. They don't always get to show a lot in one game. You go back and look at previous games from last year, so you need more time to go through all of those scenarios and what-ifs. I thought our guys were locked in today and have one more opportunity to polish it up and get ready to roll."

On the challenge Virginia brings offensively…

"They have a very accurate quarterback that had a completion percentage over 70 percent in that game and is a very good player, last season as well. They have very good receivers. Big, big up front and good running backs. Very, very solid football team. Well coached. Executes. Gives you lots of different looks, lot of personnel packages, which is kind of what you see from most teams in today's offenses. They'll definitely create some challenges for us."

On the message to the team going on the road…

"It becomes about us. You have to bring your energy. You have to bring your focus. You can't rely on the crowd. They'll obviously play predominantly for them, which is how it is on the road. We want to embrace that. We talked about the road mentality that we have to have and it's a business trip for us. We're going there for one reason and the bottom line for our guys is, it's the first game of the season on the road so you have to be able to get used to the schedule. I love road trips. It's a great time for the team to bond together, come together and become a better football team in the process."
