EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The Indiana volleyball team hit .409 as they took care of UT-Martin with a 3-0 (25-19, 25-21, 25-17) win on Saturday, on day two of the Dunn Hospitality Invitational in Evansville.
Junior Elizabeth Asdell led the Hoosiers (8-0) with 11 kills and hit .769 for the match. Sophomore libero Meaghan Koors tallied 15 digs and sophomore setter Victoria Brisack recorded her sixth double-double of the season with 37 assists and 10 digs.
Both teams came out on the attack with UT-Martin hitting .310 in the opening set, but the Hoosiers hit a blistering .516 with 17 kills as they claimed the 25-19 win.
In the second set the Hoosiers fell behind 12-7, but rallied back to win the set, 25-21.
In the final set the Hoosiers went up 21-18 on a cross court kill from freshman Alexis Parker. Next, freshman Bayli Lebo stepped to the service line and pounded three straight aces to give Indiana separation.
Indiana would claim the set and the match on a kill from redshirt sophomore Kendall Beerman. For Beerman is was one of her 10 kills for the match.
Sophomore Hayden Huybers recorded six blocks and four kills for the Hoosiers.
The Hoosiers close the Dunn Hospitality Invitational with a match against UAB tonight at 5:00 p.m. ET.
