Indiana vs. Northwestern
• Indiana head coach Archie Miller won his 150th career game.
• 46 points allowed are the fewest IU has allowed since giving up only 46 points to Illinois on Jan. 26, 2014. It was tied for the third lowest in a Big Ten game for an IU opponent since 1996-97. IU gave up 43 vs. Iowa (1-23-08), 44 at Northwestern (1-2-02) and 46 against Illinois (1-26-14).
• The Hoosiers had its best defensive effort holding the Wildcats to 26.8% shooting. It was tied for the second best Big Ten defensive effort for Indiana since the 1996-97 season. Michigan shot 25.0% vs. IU (1-25-00) and Ohio State shot 26.8 (1-21-03).
• It is the second time IU has held a team to 19 or fewer points in a half. It is also the fewest points allowed to a Big Ten team since holding Illinois to 19 second half points on Feb. 25, 2016.
• The Hoosiers held the Wildcats leading scorer, Scottie Lindsey to 1 of 15 shooting and an 0-7 effort from three-point range. In addition, Wildcat center Dererk Pardon, who was averaging 12.1 points per game, was limited to 2 field goal attempts.
• With a lead with 5:00 to go in the game, the Hoosiers are now 9-0.
• IU improved to 7-0 when making 8 three-pointers or more.
• With 17 points, senior guard Robert Johnson moved to 34th on the Indiana all-time scoring list, passing Tom Coverdale (2000-03) and Steve Downing (1971-73). Johnson now has 1,223 career points.
• With five 3-pointers, Johnson ties James Blackmon Jr. with 205 career 3FG for fourth on the all-time IU 3FG made list.
• Senior forward Freddie McSwain Jr. dished out two assists, his career-high. He also had 4 points and 5 rebounds.
• Freshman guard Aljami Durham collected points (5) for the first time in three games.
• For the second game in a row and the sixth time this season, redshirt senior guard Josh Newkirk was in double figures with 12 points. He made 2 of 3 three-pointers.
• Junior forward Juwan Morgan went 4-for-4 from the field, his first perfect shooting day of the season. He missed the bulk of the first half due to fould trouble and scored all of his points in the second half.
• For the third straight game, junior guard Zach McRoberts has recorded multiple assists. He finished with 2 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal.
• Two blocks tied freshman forward Clifton Moore's career-high in blocks. Moore saw his first meaningful time in the Big Ten and played 7 minutes with Morgan in four trouble.
• Fifth-year senior Collin Hartman tied his career-high in assists with five. He last had five assists against Chattanooga in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on March 17, 2016. He had 6 points and 3 rebounds.
• Eight points are tied for the second most points for freshman forward Justin Smith inside Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. Like Morgan, Smith scored all of his points in the second half.
• Sophomore guard Devonte Green recorded a career-high in steals with five.
• Senior forward Tim Priller saw action for the third time this year and redshirt sophomore guard Johnny Jager played for the fourth time.
• In the second half, the Hoosiers went on a 25-2 run over 7:17 from 17:41 to 10:07 and 18-0 run over 4:11 from 14:55 to 10:07. From 14:55 to 9:48, a span of 5:07, the Wildcats were held scoreless
• The Hoosiers went on a 13-0 run over 7:20 from 16:22 to 8:45 in the first half. During the run, IU forced four turnovers while holding the Wildcats scoreless for over eight minutes.
• Northwestern started the game 1-for-15, 2-for-17 from the field.
