ABOUT THE SCARLET KNIGHTS
Rutgers is looking to snap a two-game skid on Saturday after dropping games to Penn State and Nebraska. They are led by redshirt senior guard Tyler Scaife who averages 20.5 points and shots 45.5 percent from the floor. Redshirt junior forward Stasha Carey is leading on the glass with 7.7 boards per game while adding 7.2 points. As a team, the Scarlet Knights are averaging 41.6 percent from the floor and 67.1 points per game.
WIN OVER WISCONSIN
Indiana won its third-straight in the series with Wisconsin in a 69-55 victory on Wednesday night. The senior duo of Tyra Buss and Amanda Cahill recorded a combined 49 points in the win as Indiana shot 49.1 percent from the floor and 41.2 percent from 3-point range.
PENN NAMED BIG TEN FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Freshman guard Jaelynn Penn was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week on Monday. It followed her performances against No. 14 Maryland and Michigan State where she averaged 15.5 points and shot 72.7 percent from the 3-point line and 45.8 percent from the floor. It marked the first Freshman of the Week honor for Indiana since Tyra Buss in 2014-15.
HOOSIERS WIN IN EAST LANSING
Indiana picked up its first win at Michigan State since 2009-10 with a 69-65 win on Jan. 20. Senior guard Tyra Buss scored a game-high 28 points as the Hoosiers raced out to a 33-14 lead after the first quarter. They also connected on 11 3-pointers in the win including five from Buss and three each from senior forward Amanda Cahill and freshman guard Jaelynn Penn.
EIGHT POINTS OR LESS
Indiana has battled in its share of close games this season, deciding 10 games by eight points or less. The Hoosiers are 4-6 in games decided by eight points or less this season. Five of those games have come in Big Ten play including the 69-65 win at Michigan State on Saturday.
THAT SCHEDULE IS TOUGH
The Hoosiers are playing one of the toughest schedules in the nation, which is currently the eighth in the nation. They have faced six ranked opponents this season, including four of their first seven games against ranked teams of which they met three of those on the road.
PENN PUTS UP POINTS
Freshman guard Jaelynn Penn has found an offensive spark as she has posted double figures in three of the last four games. During that stretch, she's shooting 56.3 percent from 3-point range (9-for-16) while averaging 14.8 points per game. She has posted nine games in double digits this season and is averaging 10.0 points and 5.0 rebounds in her freshman season. She ranks sixth in points per game amongst all Big Ten freshmen, third in steals (1.1), tied for fifth in assists (2.3) sixth in rebounding.
BUSS SETS SCORING RECORD
Senior guard Tyra Buss set another career milestone on Jan. 20 at Michigan State when she became the first Indiana Women's Basketball player to score 2,000 points. Buss is one of six players (men's or women's) at Indiana to score 2,000 points and has now recorded 2,047 points. Buss broke the record for points scored on Jan. 3 at Penn State. She eclipsed former record holder Denise Jackson's 1,917 points set in 1983-84 with her game-high 27 points against the Lady Lions.
MORE RECORDS TO BREAK
With records set in points scored, free throws made and free throws attempted, Buss will set her sights on the steals (258) and assists (504) records at Indiana. Currently, Buss ranks second in both of those categories.

CAHILL MAKES HER MARK
Senior Amanda Cahill set for another career milestone on Wednesday night, as she grabbed her 1,000th rebound. She became the third player to record 1,000 rebounds along with Denise Jackson (1,273) and Whitney Thomas (1,090) to reach the career milestone. She's just the second-ever player to record over 1,600 points and 1,000 rebounds. She ranks seventh all-time in scoring (1,639), third all-time in rebounds (1,002), third in all-time double-doubles (37) and seventh in blocks (108).
