Michigan is coming off a tough home loss to No. 10 Ohio State, 78-71, in overtime on Sunday. They are led by senior guard Katelynn Flaherty who averages the league's second-best 22.9 points per game while junior forward Hallie Thome is adding 16.9 points and a team-high 7.0 rebounds per game. Junior guard Nicole Munger is shooting a team-high 41.3 percent 3-point range whiel adding 10.0 points. As a team, the Wolverines are shooting 47.6 percent from the field and averaging 76.1 points per game.
THAT SCHEDULE IS TOUGH
The Hoosier will meet their fourth ranked team this season on Wednesday when it travels to No. 23 Michigan. IU has faced three of those four opponents on the road and will face three-straight ranked opponents beginning with the Wolverines. IU will host No. 10 Ohio State and visit No. 11 Maryland on Jan. 15. Currently, Indiana has played the eighth toughest schedule in the NCAA this season which is leading the Big Ten.
INDIANA DOWNS PURDUE
Opening up the game on a 18-5 advantage in the first quarter, Indiana cruised to a 72-54 victory over Purdue on Saturday. Four players scored in double figures led by 19 points from senior guard Tyra Buss. Senior forward Amanda Cahill added 16 points, six rebounds and six assists in the win as Indiana shot a season-high 58.3 percent from the floor while holding the Boilermakers to a 34 percent clip on the afternoon.
BUSS NAMED TO BIG TEN HONOR ROLL
Senior guard Tyra Buss earned a spot on the Big Ten Player of the Week Honor Roll announced by the league on Monday. She registered 23.0 points, 6.0 assists and 4.0 steals per game last week to earn her second honor roll distinction this season. She also earned honors during week one of the season with her double-double of 28 points and 11 assists against Arkansas State went along with five steals, 10-for-12 from the free throw line and two rebounds. It also marks the third weekly honor roll award for her career.
BUSS SETS SCORING RECORD
Senior guard Tyra Buss broke the Indiana Women's Basketball record for points scored on Jan. 3 at Penn State. She eclipsed former record holder Denise Jackson's 1,917 points set in 1983-84 with her game-high 27 points against the Lady Lions and has now scored 1,950 career points. She ranks eighth amongst all-time players at Indiana (men's and women's) and is on pace to become the sixth player ever to wear an Indiana jersey to score over 2,000 points.
MORE RECORDS TO BREAK
With records set in points scored, free throws made and free throws attempted, Buss will set her sights on the steals (252) and assists (478) records at Indiana. Currently, Buss ranks second in both of those categories.

BUSS AND CAHILL SENIOR CLASS CANDIDATES
Seniors Tyra Buss and Amanda Cahill have been selected as two of 30 candidates for the Senior CLASS Award, announced by the organization on Thursday. The duo is the only two players from one team on either the men's or women's candidate lists and they are two of three Big Ten women's players to receive the recognition.
CAHILL MAKES HER MARK
Senior Amanda Cahill will also move her way up in the IU record books this season, already making her mark in points scored and rebounds. She's just the fifth-ever player to record over 1,500 points and 900 rebounds as she ranks fourth all-time with 964 rebounds, needing just seven more rebounds to move into 3rd place all-time. She's also on pace to become the third player in school history to grab 1,000 rebounds and would join Whitney Thomas (1,090) and Denise Jackson (1,273) and 11th in scoring with 1,551 points.
KYM'S IMPROVEMENT
Junior forward Kym Royster's play this season is one of the best improvements of any player in the Big Ten. The Newark, Ohio native is averaging 11.8 points per contest and has scored in double figures in eight games this season. Her +7.6 points per game this season is one of the best improvements in the Big Ten, ranking fourth among all returning players. She's also adding 4.2 rebounds from a season ago, averaging the team's second-best mark in 6.8 boards per game.
