Postgame Notes
• IU played in its second overtime game of the season, their last being a win over Notre Dame on Dec. 16, 2017.
• The last overtime game played at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall was an Indiana 110-102 3OT win against Penn State on Feb. 1, 2017.
• It was the first IU game that ended in double overtime since an 83-79 win at Illinois on Feb. 7, 2008.
• The game was tied 33-33 at halftime, 63-63 at the end of regulation, 70-70 at the end of the first overtime.
• On his senior night, guard Robert Johnson scored 17 points, grabbed three rebounds, and dished out four assists.
• Johnson now has 1,401 career points, tying him with Jimmy Rayl (1961-63) for 22nd on the Indiana all-time scoring list.
• With two 3-pointers on the night, Johnson extend his career total to 236, fourth most 3FG in program history. It was the seventh straight game in which Johnson knocked down a 3-pointer.
• With seven field goals, freshman forward Justin Smith came one field goal shy of his career-high field goals made. Smith scored 16 points and pulled down four rebounds.
• Junior forward Juwan Morgan had a team-high 18 points. He also added seven rebounds, three assists, two blocks and three steals.
• Sophomore guard Devonte Green dished out multiple assists for the eighth straight game.
• Redshirt junior Zach McRoberts tied his career-high with two 3-pointers made. McRoberts finished with eight points and a 3-for-3 FG night.
• With six rebounds, senior forward Freddie McSwain Jr. recorded five or more boards for the 14th time this season.
• Freshman guard Aljami Durham posted seven points and hit a three while going 3-for-4 from the field.
• Senior guard Josh Newkirk recorded nine points along with a rebound, six assists, and a block. It is the sixth game in which Newkirk has notched a block.
• IU went on an 8-0 run from 5:33 to 3:33 in the first half. The run turned into a 19-7 run where Newkirk and Durham had five points.
