The best conference tournament in wrestling begins this weekend
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Big Ten Conference announced Monday their selections for pre-seeds at next weekend's Big Ten Wrestling Championships, held at the Breslin Center in East Lansing, Michigan. Five Hoosiers learned their pre-seed with the initial draw, led by sophomore Devin Skatzka with the sixth seed at 174 lbs.

Indiana's highest-ranked wrestler, junior Cole Weaver, drew the No. 7 seed in a contentious 141 lbs. bracket. Seven of the eight seeded at the weight rank in the most recent top-20 FloWrestling poll.

With the Big Ten receiving more than eight NCAA Championships qualifier spots at three weights, the conference seeded the entire field for their 125 lbs., 149 lbs,, and 165 lbs. championships. Junior Elijah Oliver (125) received the 10th seed in his bracket, while true freshman A.J. Raya will take the 14th seed at 149.

Bryce Martin (165), back in the lineup just in time for the postseason, will begin the Big Ten Championships with the 11th seed.

The remaining half of Indiana's lineup await the fate of a random draw to fill the bracket, set to take place one day prior to the start of the tournament. The pre-seeds are subject to change.
