Hoosiers Prevail Against Wildcats, 5-2

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana men's tennis team beat Arizona, 5-2 on Sunday at the IU Tennis Center.
The Hoosiers (4-3) came out strong in doubles play and won at No. 2 doubles (6-4) and No. 3 doubles (6-1) to win the doubles point. The No. 1 match went unfinished with the Hoosiers up 5-3.
IU head coach Jeremy Wurtzman said he was pleased with the way the Hoosiers are playing.
"We are playing at a high level right now," he said. "Today was a great win against a solid opponent. We are building confidence as a team and individually and it is showing on the court."
Indiana carried their momentum into singles with Raheel Manji and Antonio Cembellin getting straight set victories to put the Hoosiers up 3-0.
After Arizona put up a point on court five the Hoosiers clinched the match with a Keivon Tabrizi 6-4, 7-5 win on court three.
The Hoosiers added a fifth point with a win from Afonso Salgado.
The Hoosiers have their next three matches on the road before returning home for a doubleheader on Feb. 25 vs. Vanderbilt and Saint Louis.
