Mau Named Big Ten Track Athlete Of The Week

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Redshirt sophomore Kyle Mau earned his first career Big Ten Men's Track Athlete of the Week, announced by the league on Wednesday.
The Hudson, Ohio native anchored the men's distance medley relay (DMR) this past weekend at the Power 5 Invitational hosted by the University of Michigan. Mau closed out the race for the Hoosiers finishing his 1600m leg with the time of 3:58.37.
The team consisting of junior Hoe Murphy, freshman Zubin Muncherji, senior Daniel Kuhn and Kyle Mau earned the No. 1 spot in the NCAA finishing with the time of 9:31.64.
The Hoosiers will compete in three events this weekend. Mau and six other Hoosiers will head to the Iowa State Classic in Ames, Iowa. Indiana will also host the Hoosiers Hills at Harry Gladstein Fieldhouse on Friday, February 9 and seven field athletes will travel to the Tyson Invitational hosted by the University of Arkansas.
