Ford Sets a New Personal Record on Day One of the Pac-12/Big Ten Challenge

Day one of the Pac-12/Big Ten Challenge was the season debut for Nycia Ford and Andrew Miller in the hammer throw.
Ford opened her outdoor season by setting a new personal record and making it into the Hoosier record book. The Jeffersonville, Ind. native finished third overall with the mark of 59.58m (195' 5"), which is the third longest throw in school history.
Miller closed out competition for the Hoosiers with a fifth place finish with the mark of 61.59m (202' 0"). He had the third best performance of Big Ten athletes finishing behind Nicholas Percy and Edward Jeans of Nebraska.
Day two of the Pac-12/Big Ten Challenge will start with the women's discus at 4:30 pm ET featuring Khayla Dawson. Zykeria Williams and Jenna Jungels will start the Hoosiers off on the track in the 100m hurdles at 8:20 pm ET.
