Freshmen Lead Indiana To Eighth-Place Finish At Clemson Invitational

SUNSET, SC - Freshmen Priscilla Schmid and Mary Parsons tied for 19^th place overall to lead Indian to an eighth-place finish at the Clemson Invitational on Sunday.

Parsons came in with a 72 in the final 18 holes at The Reserve at Lake Keowee while Schmid's 75 helped each post 215 for the tournament to finish in the top 20. Junior Erin Harper led Indiana in the round, posting a

Junior Erin Harper tied a career low round of 69 on Sunday, birding five holes including four consecutive on the back nine to turn in a 3-under par round. She finished one stroke behind Schmid and Parsons with a 216.

The Hoosiers moved up one spot in the final standings for an eighth-place finish in the 15-team field that featured 10 ranked teams. IU shot a 291 in the third round, collecting a three-round score of 870 and finishing just eight strokes out of fourth place. Furman won the event followed by Michigan State, Clemson and Vanderbilt.

Freshman Angela Aung finished up the tournament in a T60th (227) while senior Pear Siriko wrapped up her first event in T67th (230).

The Hoosiers are next in action at the final regular season tournament at the Lady Buckeye Invitational on April 14-15 in Columbus, Ohio.
