Indiana Finishes Tied For Ninth At Big Ten Championships

Maineville, Ohio - Freshman Priscilla Schmid posted the highest individual finish for Indiana since 2016 as they completed play at the Big Ten Tournament on Sunday afternoon. The Hoosiers collected a three-round score of 889, tying Wisconsin at TPC River's Bend.

Schmid shot 1-under par in the final round, combining for a 216 and coming in T13th overall. Her top 15 finish is the best by a Hoosier since Ana Sanjuan also finished 15^th in 2016. The Montevideo, Uruguay native finished the round going 3-under on the back nine and finished with four birdies on the day.

The Hoosiers came in T9th with Wisconsin as they both posted 889. It was two strokes out of eighth place Penn State (887) and six strokes behind seventh place Michigan (883). Michigan State won for the second-straight year while Maryland and Illinois finished tied for runner up.

Junior Erin Harper came in T 22nd overall, posting a 73 on Sunday to tally up a 219. She also went under on the back nine with birdies on No. 11, 12, 15 and 18. Senior Alix Kong put a strong finish on her four-year career at the Big Ten Championships, coming in with an eagle on her final hole on a par 4. She came in with a 77 for the day to finish T49th overall.

Freshman Mary Parsons rounded out her first trip to the conference championships in T43rd with a 78 on the day and combined 226. Sophomore Elisa Pierre was 74^th while sophomore Carolina Garrett rounded out the IU field in T80th (246).

Indiana will await to see if it will qualify for an NCAA Regional with the Division I selection show on Wednesday, April 25 at 5:30 p.m. ET on Golf Channel.
