
Big Ten Double Dual Sends Hoosiers To Ann Arbor

ANN ARBOR, Michigan – The 16th-ranked Indiana Rowing team travels to Ann Arbor for a Big Ten Double Dual with No. 6 Michigan, No. 11 Iowa and Michigan State on Saturday. Indiana will compete head-to-head with Michigan in the morning and Michigan State in the afternoon.
The races are tentatively scheduled to be streamed on Michigan's Facebook page and results distributed Michigan's Twitter page.
The morning session gets underway at 10:00am on Belleville Lake with the afternoon session beginning at 1:30pm. The complete schedule is as follows:

IN THE POLLS THIS WEEK
Despite a dominating performance by the 1V8 and both four's last week at the Doc Hosea Invitational, the Hoosiers fell one spot in the USRowing/CRCA Top 25 poll to No. 16.
The six Big Ten teams that are ranked are Ohio State (5), Michigan (6), Iowa (11), Wisconsin (12) Indiana (16) and Michigan State (18).
IU OPENS 2018 CLAIMING TEAM TITLE AT DOC HOSEA INVITATIONAL
Behind a strong performance from the first varsity 8 and both varsity 4's, the Hoosiers accumulated 108 points to win the team title at the Doc Hosea Invitational on March 31.
The 1V8 won their morning heat and then pulled away for the win by nearly three seconds over Dartmouth and Syracuse in the Grand final. The 1V4 and 2V4 both put forth commanding performances in their morning and Grand final heats to win by six and nine seconds, respectively.
UNPRECEDENTED SUCCESS FOR THE HOOSIERS
The Indiana Rowing program is in the midst of unprecedented success for the program, as they have made four consecutive appearances in the NCAA Championship in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. Those four appearances marked the first four appearances in the NCAA Championship in program history.
In 2014, the Hoosiers finished 11th as a team and were led by the ninth-place finish of the 1V4 while the 1V8 finished 10th and the 2V8 came in 14th.
In 2015, Indiana once against finished 11th as a team with the 1V8 leading the way with another 10th place finish while the 2V8 checked in with a 11th place finish and the 1V4 registered a 13th place finish.
In 2016, Indiana finished 15th as a team with the 1V4 crew leading the way with a 12th place finish. The 2V8 crew finished fourth in the C final to take 14th place overall and the 1V8 earned a 16th place finish at the NCAA Championships.
In 2017, IU recorded a 12th place finish as a team with the 1V8 leading the way with a 12th place finish. The 2V8 won the C final to bring home 13th place and the 1V4 garnered 14th place by finishing second in their C final.
