
Indiana Adds Signee Brittany Ford

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana Softball announced the addition of Brittany Ford to its incoming class of signees as the utility player will join the Hoosiers in the fall.
Ford, a native of Indianapolis, comes to Indiana from Cathedral High School, where she is a two-time team captain and the school's all-time home run leader with 20. Ford, who is a three-time honor roll selection, is coming off a senior season that saw her hit .343 with 28 RBI, seven homers and a .761 slugging percentage. For her career, Ford has collected 78 RBI with a .978 fielding percentage while leading the team to a regional and city championship. Ford is a two-time All-City selection, the 2016 Team Offensive MVP and has been named a Max Preps Player of the Game 10 times.
Ford plays travelball for Indiana Prospects Norwood and participated in the 2017 Indiana PGF King of the Hill event. In addition, she guided the team to a 2017 fifth place finish at the USA Elite National, as well as a fourth-place finish at the PGF National Regional. In 2016, the team was named PGF State Champions, USA Elite Top Gun Champions and a second-place finish at PGF National Regionals.
The daughter of Joe and Laurie, Ford has two brothers who attend Indiana as well, Ryan and Trevor. Her father played football at Indiana and was a three-time letterwinner.
Ford joins fellow signees Taylor Askland, Juvia Davis and Natalie Foor as part of next year's freshman class. For more on those signees, click here.
