Uden and Trainer Named to Big Ten All-Tournament Team

MADISON, Wis. – Indiana Softball placed two on the 2018 Big Ten All-Tournament Team as senior Taylor Uden and junior Tara Trainer earned the honor for the second time in their careers. Uden and Trainer also were named to the All-Tournament Team in 2016.
Uden collected two hits in the tournament, including a walk-off solo home run in Friday's quarterfinal to defeat Illinois, 2-1. The Glendale, Ariz. native scored a pair of runs in Indiana's two games, as well as registered two RBI and two walks with a 1.000 slugging percentage.
Trainer tossed 10.1 innings total innings over the weekend, including a complete game two-hitter against the Fighting Illini. The Lebanon, Ohio native, who last week was named First Team All-Big Ten, collected seven strikeouts in Indiana's victory against Illinois.
The Hoosiers advanced to the Big Ten Tournament Semifinals for the first time since 2006, but ultimately fell to Minnesota, 9-4.
