Thirty-One Hoosiers Qualify for the NCAA East Preliminaries in Tampa

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana University track and field have a total of 31 Hoosiers who will travel south to Tampa, Fla. next week to compete in the NCAA East Preliminaries hosted by the University of South Florida, announced by the league Thursday.
 
In order to qualify, each athlete had to ranked within the top 48 of their respective event in the eastern region and within the top-12 for relays. The top-12 athletes in each event and the top-12 relays will advance to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore. in June.
 
On the women's side a total of 17 athletes earned a spot in Tampa across 11 events, six track events and five field events. For the men's the Hoosiers will be represented by 14 athletes across nine events, five track events and four field events.

Zykeria Williams – 100m Hurdles
Natalie Price – 400m // 4x400m
Kendell Wiles – 800m // 4x400m
Kelsey Harris – 800m
Joely Pinkston – 800m
Brenna Calder – 1500m
