Harper Goes 2-Under To Open Play At NCAA Regionals

MADISON, Wis. – Indiana Women's Golf junior Erin Harper birdied two of her final three holes on her way to a 2-under finish on Day One of NCAA Regionals on Monday at University Ridge Golf Course.
She finished with a 70 on the day and tied for seventh overall on a sunny, clear day to open up postseason play hosted by Wisconsin. Harper leads the six-player individual field as she birdied four holes while posting 12 others at par. The Dublin, Ohio native capped off the round with a great finish as she birdied holes seven and nine to wrap up the afternoon.
"Erin played a really fantastic round today," IU head coach Clint Wallman said. "She handled herself like a professional and had a really solid day from top to bottom. I'm looking for her to continue doing the great things she did today in the next two rounds."
Harper is sitting one stroke ahead of Kansas State individual Connie Jaffrey (71) and two in front of Toledo's Pinyada Kuvanun (73).
Round two begins tomorrow with a tee time set for 9:45 a.m. ET on hole No. 1.
