MADISON, Wis. – Junior Erin Harper shot a career low 4-under par 68 as she sits tied for second overall after play on day two of the NCAA Regional on Tuesday.
The Dublin, Ohio native played a bogey-free round with birdies on 2, 5, 11 and 13 at University Ridge Golf Course, besting her previous career low of 69. She started off the day on the front nine, completing her two birdies in the first five holes. Harper would come around back in the afternoon with a chance for an eagle on No. 11 but just narrowly missed the putt. She followed up with another birdie on No. 13 while rounding out the day at par on the final five holes.
Her 68 ties the seventh-best single round in program history as she currently sits with a 138 heading into tomorrow's final round.
"Erin has looked confident in the first two rounds of the regional and is really hitting the ball exceptionally well," Indiana head coach Clint Wallman said. "She is peaking at the right time, giving herself a great chance to make a run at a spot in NCAA Championships in tomorrow's final 18 holes."
The third and final round of the Madison Regional begins with tee times off No. 1 at 9:45 a.m. ET.
