Johnson To Participate In NBA Summer League With the Atlanta Hawks

BLOOMINGTON, Indiana - Former Indiana University men's basketball player Robert Johnson will play this summer with the Atlanta Hawks. The Hawks will compete July 2 thru 5 in Salt Lake City at the Utah Jazz Summer League then head to Las Vegas where 30 teams will compete at the MGM Resorts NBA Summer League from July 6 to 17.

Johnson earned honorable mention All-Big Ten honors and finished 21st in IU career scoring with 1,413 points and 4th in 3FG Made with 238. He was ninth in the Big Ten in three-point field goals made per game during the 2017-18 season. A four-year starter with 118 career starts, he averaged 14.0 points and finished second on the team with 84 assists during his senior campaign. He averaged 14.6 points and led IU with 52 assists in league play in 2018. He also tied an IU record when he hit 9 made three-point field goals at Iowa, which also set Carver-Hawkeye Arena standard. He shot 38.9 percent from three-point range for his career.
