Colleen Smith is in her first season as student assistant for the Indiana Volleyball program after spending the 2011 season on the IU roster. The Cary, Ill., native played as a setter in four matches in her campaign as a Hoosier, recording 24 assists in six sets of action.

PREP: Named a PrepVolleyball All-American as one of the top players in the nation ... earned All-State honors ... served as the captain of the 41-1 and No. 1 nationally-ranked Cary-Grove High School squad that finished as Illinoi state runners-up in 2010 and state champions in 2009 ... excelled in club ball as well, earning AAU All-American honors in 2009 after leading her squad to an AAU National Championship and being named tournament MVP ... chosen as one of PrepVolleyball's `Senior Aces' for the class of 2011 ... daughter of Robert "Bubba" and Krista Smith ... has three sisters, Breanna, Danielle and Kylie ... born September 13, 1992 ... special education major.
