Dutra played in 42 career games (19 starts) and posted 237 tackles, 164 solo. He added eight tackles for loss, four forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, three interceptions, 10 pass breakups, one blocked punt and one quarterback hurry. Dutra graduated with a liberal studies degree in Dec. 2017.

2016 (Junior): Played in 10 games ... recorded 46 tackles, 35 solo, a half-tackle for loss, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one blocked punt ... made a season-high seven stops, five solo, in the win vs. No. 17 Michigan State ... forced a fumble (5 tackles) at No. 2 Ohio State and recovered a fumble (5 tackles) in the Foster Farms Bowls vs. No. 19 Utah ... the blocked punt resulted in a safety against No. 10 Nebraska ... two-time IU special teams player of the week (Nebraska and Penn State) ... scout team player of the week (Purdue) ... Michigan State game captain.

2015 (Sophomore): Finished fifth on the team with 61 tackles and 38 solo stops ... added four tackles for loss, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and two pass breakups ... made seven starts in eight games ... was second on the team and 19th in the Big Ten in league play only with 7.4 stops per outing ... recorded three double-digit tackle games ... collected 13 stops with a half-TFL at No. 7 Michigan State ... tallied 11 tackles with a career-best 1.5 for loss the following weekend vs. No. 10 Iowa ... posted a team-high 11 stops, one for loss, with seven solos against No. 1 Ohio State ... forced his first career fumble and netted eight tackles, five solo, vs. Rutgers …recovered the fumble at Penn State ... matched a career mark with two PBUs in the win at Wake Forest ... two-time IU defensive player of the week (Ohio State and Iowa).
