In front of the entrance to the North End Zone, George Taliaferro Plaza features brick pavers that can be personalized with individual and company names, dates and special messages. The engraved bricks are a way to recognize and honor families, alumni and special IU memories. Each brick will be permanently displayed on the walkway of George Taliaferro Plaza. IU alumni and fans can also order commemorative replicas of their brick to keep for themselves or to give as gifts. Indiana Football enjoys position and staff meeting rooms and a team auditorium, all equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Each position room provides players with the resources they need not just for position meetings, but also for individual film review at any time. Additionally, the North End Zone houses the offices for Indiana Athletic Administration.
John Miller Training Room
A sports medicine staff of full-time athletic trainers, a team physician, a nurse practitioner and numerous graduate assistant athletic trainers and athletic training students assist each other in providing the best care of Indiana University student-athletes.
Indiana Football's athletic training staff also provides such amenities as an underwater treadmill (to aid in treatment of leg injuries) and the Sideline Response System (to help alert the staff of a potential concussion) for injury prevention and rehabilitation.
John Mellencamp Pavilion
In addition, the Indiana Football practice fields are directly connected to the North End Zone facility by a tunnel that leads onto the south end of the fields. Mellencamp Pavilion, which opens onto the practice fields, gives the team a place to practice during inclement weather.
Mellencamp Pavilion features a new Sportexe Momentum 41 artificial surface that was installed in 2007.The Indiana practice fields, attached to the North End Zone by tunnel, provide two full side-by-side grass fields. Merchants Bank Field at Memorial Stadium, used for walk-throughs during game week, features a FieldTurf surface that was replaced during the summer of 2024.
