Won wrestling letters in 1932, 1933 and 1934...co-captain in 1934...1934 Big Ten and NCAA champion at 175 pounds...had perfect 12-0 record that season and 48-4 record for career...member of three Big Ten championship teams and teams that won the NCAA championship in 1932 and 1933 and placed 2nd in 1934...member of 1936 Olympic team that won a silver medal in Berlin...coached at Rutgers for 25 years with record of 148-85-8...member of National Wrestling Hall of Fame.
