Won football letters in 1948, 1949 and 1950...Served as IU Alumni Association Field Secretary...worked closely with Claude Rich on the development of the administrative structure and concept of the Varsity Club...became the first director of the Varsity Club in 1953 and served until 1968...since his retirement he has continued to work for Indiana University Athletics as a volunteer and served as the official timer for Indiana football for many years...he remains an ambassador for Indiana University Athletics.
