Waiters joined IU after finishing his prep career in Coral Gables, Florida and won football letters in 1983, 1985, 1986 and 1987 ... 1st team All-Big Ten in 1986 and 1987 ... earned 2nd team All-American honors in 1987 from UPI and 3rd team honors from Associated Press and Football New and was 2nd team All-American in 1986 from Associated Press and Sporting News and 3rd team by Football News ... held IU season records with 21 tackles for loss and 14 sacks in 1987 and ranked second on IU's career list in both categories ... played in the NFL for the Cleveland Browns and Minnesota Vikings ... he currently resides in Hialeah, Fla. where he is heavily involved in youth football.
