INDIANA DIVERS READY FOR WEEKEND AFTER FRIDAY'S PRELIMINARIES
The Indiana Men's Diving team improved on their two previous days of competition at the 1998 All-American Diving Championships in Austin, Tex., placing two divers in the top ten and four in the top sixteen after Friday's Men's Three Meter Preliminaries during open competition.
Indiana's four divers who placed in the top sixteen were Mike Collier, Jon Repetti, Tom Davidson, and Jason Graves. Collier once again led the Hoosier divers placing fifth on the evening with a score of 340.20. Repetti made the biggest jump for Indiana placing 10th after an 18th place finish the previous evening scoring 303.75. Davidson and Graves placed 14th and 16th respectively for the Hoosiers. University of Miami diver Bryan Gillooly leads after the first round of competition with a score of 379.10.
Indiana's divers will compete Saturday in the three meter quarterfinals, semifinals, and
finals, and again on Sunday as the meet concludes with platform competitions.
