Tonight's game is the second of three home games this week for the Hoosiers. Indiana comes into tonight's game with a 4-3 record after defeating Evansville 85-73 Tuesday in Bloomington. A victory tonight would move the Hoosiers two games over the .500 mark for the first time this season.
TELEVISION: The Wisconsin-Green Bay game is being broadcast by the over-the-air ESPN-Plus network with John Laskowski and Ted Kitchel.
RADIO: Every IU game can be heard on the IU Radio Network. The flagship station is WBWB in Bloomington which provides a statewide network. Don Fischer, Bob Hammel, Joe Smith and Norm Ellenberger call the action. The pregame show begins 40 minutes prior to tipoff.
INDIANA HEAD COACH BOB KNIGHT: is college basketball's winningest active head coach with 704 victories (all games at the Division I level). He is just one of 10 NCAA coaches all-time to have recorded 700 or more victories. He is in his 27th season as the Indiana head coach and has a record of 602-211 (.740). Knight is in his 33rd season as a collegiate head coach and has an overall record of 704-261 (.729). Knight's record in Big Ten play is 325-131 (.713). He has led the Hoosiers to three NCAA titles (1976, 1981 and 1987) and a conference record 11 Big Ten Championships (1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1980, 1981, 1983, 1987, 1989, 1991 and 1993). He was inducted into the National Basketball Hall of Fame in May of 1991. Knight is 0-0 vs. Wisconsin-Green Bay overall and at Indiana.
THE SERIES: Indiana and Wisconsin-Green Bay are meeting for the first time. The Hoosiers are 51-22 all-time against teams from the Midwestern Collegiate Conference. Butler is the team the Hoosiers have played the most with 45 of the 73 games coming against the Bulldogs. The last time IU played a team from the MCC was last year against Butler. IU won that game 89-84 in overtime on Dec. 23, 1996 in Bloomington.
TOUGH WAY TO START THE YEAR: Indiana's 4-3 record might have something to do with the schedule they have played so far. In the latest Jeff Sagarin rankings, Indiana's schedule was ranked as the 12th toughest in the nation. It was also the toughest in the Big Ten.
