INDIANA WOMEN'S SOCCER SIGNS THREE
Indiana University women's soccer coach Joe Kelley has announced the signing of back Mary Friar (Wauwatosa, Wis./Divine Savior Holy Angels), midfielder Kelly Kram (Chesterfield, Mo./Lafayette), and forward Sara Gustafson (Reisterstown, Md./Franklin) to national letters of intent.
"As a group all three can help our team right away," comments Coach Kelley. "They are competitive and come from excellent soccer backgrounds and they will help and improve our team. Kelly led her team to the state championship her junior year and she should make a significant and immediate impact and she is considered the top player in St. Louis this past year."
Kram, a first team all-state performer, tallied 20 goals and 26 assists the past three seasons. Her coach, Tim Walters, played Joe Kelley at Indiana University.
Friar is four-year varsity member and a first team all-state pick and team MVP in her junior season.
Gustafson is a four-year varsity member and an all-state pick her last three seasons. She was the leading scorer in Baltimore County with 30 goals and 10 assists.
