HOOSIERS FALL TO NO. 16 MICHIGAN 1-0

BLOOMINGTON,Indiana (5-2) fell 1-0 to No. 16 ranked Michigan (6-1) tonight at Armstrong Stadium. Indiana was outshot and committed fewer fouls for just the third time this season. In the first half, Michigan put the pressure on first putting up three shots, but the Hoosiers turned on the heat with several breakaway attempts. Indiana finished the half with three shots and Merit Elzey recorded three saves. The second was played about the same until Michigan's Karen Montgomery lobbed a shot over Elzey from 20 yards out. The Hoosiers could only manage two shots in the half with Michigan's goalie making both saves.

Indiana takes on Michigan State Sunday, September 21 at 1:30 pm.
