DEMA KOVALENKO TO STAY AT INDIANA

Bloomington, Ind. - Indiana soccer standout Dema Kovalenko, who had been offered a contract by Major League Soccer to leave school early, has decided it is in his best interest to remain at Indiana to play soccer and continue his education.

Kovalenko, a Hermann Trophy nominee, an All-American and first team All-Big Ten selection, helped the Hoosiers to a 23-1 record, a Big Ten title and a spot in the national semifinals last season. He led the Hoosiers in scoring with 20 goals and 3 assists for 43 points.
