HOOSIERS DROP THIRD STRAIGHT MATCH TO NORTHWESTERN

Evanston, Ill. - The Indiana volleyball team lost its third straight match to the Northwestern Wildcats in three games 15-6, 15-9, 15-4. The loss put the Hoosiers at 10-6 overall and 3-4 in the Big Ten.
Indiana was led by senior Jennifer Magelssen with 17 kills and junior Ryann Connors added 11 kills and eight digs. As a team, Indiana had just a .149 attack percentage including .077 in the second game.
Northwestern was led by Carmen Burbach with 15 kills and Jessica Holloway with 12 kills.
"We just fell apart," said head coach Katie Weismiller. "We had some good play on the outside, but mentally we just weren't ready to play."
The Hoosiers will continue on the road Saturday at No. 25 Minnesota. They will return home on Oct. 23 against Penn State.
